UPDATE: Ministry wants to ban durum wheat exports Dec–Jun '24

MOSCOW, Nov 1 (PRIME) -- The Agriculture Ministry has proposed to ban exports of durum wheat from December 1 until May 31, 2024, according to a bill published on the website for legal acts on Wednesday.

"A temporary prohibition of exports of durum wheat… from the Russian Federation must be set from December 1, 2023 through May 31, 2024," the statement read.

The bill envisages several exemptions including exports for humanitarian aid, in the framework of intergovernmental agreements and for supply to the Russian military units.
